A burst of light in landscape photography is a highly suggestive and dramatic effect, it occurs when a ray of light breaks into a dark or cloudy sky, illuminating a part of the landscape in a clear and contrasting way. This phenomenon is well represented in this panoramic photograph where a beam of light concentrated on the Gruppo dei Tre Scarperi (Dolomites of Sesto), creates a strong visual impact giving depth and dynamism to the composition. GIUSEPPE GHEDINA PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born in 1972 and I live in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites.
In addition to these wonderful mountains, I have explored and photographed other extraordinary peaks around the world, from Nepal to Pakistan, from Patagonia to remote Svalbard.
My grandfather of the same name was one of the pioneers of photography in Cortina but it was my passion for the mountains that brought me to photography.
Since 2006 I have been working as a professional photographer, telling the unique beauty of these mountains through photography.
