In an old topographic map from 1774, the Cinque Torri Group (Dolomites) was indicated as Monte Castellat and it is easy to understand why. This panoramic photograph portrays the Cinque Torri on a cold and clear autumn day, conveying the idea of an isolated and wild place despite being a very popular and easily accessible tourist destination.

GIUSEPPE GHEDINA PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born in 1972 and I live in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites.
In addition to these wonderful mountains, I have explored and photographed other extraordinary peaks around the world, from Nepal to Pakistan, from Patagonia to remote Svalbard.
My grandfather of the same name was one of the pioneers of photography in Cortina but it was my passion for the mountains that brought me to photography.
Since 2006 I have been working as a professional photographer, telling the unique beauty of these mountains through photography.
