This panoramic photograph taken from the Landro Valley, between Cortina and Dobbiaco, shows the Tre Cime di Lavaredo after a heavy snowfall. Like fortresses they dominate the landscape, imposing and majestic they rise vertically, motionless, eternal. The crests in the foreground seem like curtains that open onto the spectacle of a nature that is only apparently uncontaminated.

GIUSEPPE GHEDINA PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born in 1972 and I live in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites.
In addition to these wonderful mountains, I have explored and photographed other extraordinary peaks around the world, from Nepal to Pakistan, from Patagonia to remote Svalbard.
My grandfather of the same name was one of the pioneers of photography in Cortina but it was my passion for the mountains that brought me to photography.
Since 2006 I have been working as a professional photographer, telling the unique beauty of these mountains through photography.
