A passion with ancient origins

My great-grandfather Giacinto (1853-1937) introduced photography to Cortina d'Ampezzo and the nearby valleys.
My grandfather Giuseppe (1898-1986) brought heavy photographic equipment to the mountains and with his brothers founded the postcard industry spreading images of the Dolomites around the world. Even today, here in the Dolomites if you find an old print hanging in a mountain hut, most likely it will be a picture taken by my grandfather.

ABOUT ME

I was born in 1972 and live in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites, but I have also discovered other beautiful mountains around the world: Nepal, Pakistan, Patagonia, Svalbard have been some of my destinations.
Besides family tradition, it was my passion for the mountains that introduced me to photography.
I have been a professional photographer since 2006.
I work in different types of photography, but mountain photography is definitely a hallmark of mine.
I consider myself a minimalist, in everything I do I look for the essential.
This is the reason why I love black and white photography.
Color is often the element that attracts the most attention. When you eliminate it, what remains becomes more valuable.
