FAQ

PRINTING, TECHNIQUE AND PRODUCT
What is the printing process?

The "Dolomite Landscapes" prints are made with the Inkjet technique. Inkjet or Giclèe is a printing technique that uses pigment-based inks with advanced inkjet printers and selected paper to obtain the best black and white image.

What type of paper is used?

CANSON ® INFINITY RAG PHOTOGRAPHIQUE

Canson Rag Photographique is a bright white paper with a slight warm tone and an extra smooth, matte finish. The exceptional white tone is achieved during manufacturing by introducing only natural minerals into the process. It also offers one of the highest Dmax currently available, the deepest black measured after printing. It has been developed to meet the need for continued longevity in the Digital Fine Art market.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: 310 G/M2 | WHITE POINT: 89.8% | DMAX: 1.56 | GLOSS LEVEL: DEEP MATT I SURFACE: SLIGHTLY TEXTURED | OPTICAL BRIGHTENERS: NO | MATERIAL: 100% COTTON

What is the resistance and durability of the print?

Please note that the surface of the paper is not sealed (there is no protective film), this choice was considered to allow the fine art print to unfold its full effect. It would be a contradiction to laminate such a precious paper with a protective film. The surface must be treated with care but in any case the Canson® Infinity Rag Photographique paper exceeds the ISO 9706 museum standard and has been developed to meet the longevity requirements of galleries and museums.
Other types of paper suitable for protective lamination are available upon request.

What is Dibond aluminum mounting?

Aluminum Dibond is a 3 mm thick three-layer composite material: two white-coated aluminum sheets enclose a black polyethylene core. Seen from the side, the material appears black. Although extremely robust, Aluminum Dibond is light in weight, making it perfect for large-format parts.

How can I hang prints?

The "Dolomite Landscape" prints are mounted on a panel that guarantees rigidity and flatness. On the back of the panel an invisible aluminum frame (10 mm thick) allows you to hang the panel on the wall easily and safely. We recommend using two screws with appropriate dowels based on the type of wall. For large prints, we recommend using a rail. The frame on the back is included while the accessories (screws, dowels, rails) are not.
