West Summit
For mountaineers and lovers of the Dolomites there is only one Cima Ovest and it is one of the iconic peaks of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. In this photograph the view of the Cima Ovest from below is impressive and the perspective increases its imposing mass soaring towards the sky. The north-west edge known as "Spigolo Scoiattoli" is clearly visible, where the legendary route opened by the historic group of mountaineers from Cortina in 1959 runs.

GIUSEPPE GHEDINA FOTOGRAFO
Sono nato nel 1972 e vivo a Cortina d'Ampezzo, nel cuore delle Dolomiti. Oltre a queste meravigliose montagne, ho esplorato e fotografato altre vette straordinarie in tutto il mondo, dal Nepal al Pakistan, dalla Patagonia alle remote Svalbard. Mio nonno omonimo fu uno dei pionieri della fotografia a Cortina ma è stata la passione per la montagna ad avvicinarmi alla fotografia. Dal 2006 lavoro come fotografo professionista, raccontando attraverso la fotografia la bellezza unica di queste montagne.
